FAQ
-
Do I need to get a permit for my structure?
If your structure is under 200 sqft then no permit is required.
-
how do you dig holes?
I typically dig holes myself using a skid steer, hand held auger, or good ol’ fashion post hole diggers. If I run into too much rock or hardpan then we have to hire a digging company to do it for us.
-
Are porch covers typically free standing from our home?
The simple answer is yes. I typically don’t like to tie in my porch covers to existing homes because it not only takes a lot more time but is usually unnecessary.
-
Why are most of the structures on your website on the smaller side?
These structures are something I do on the side so I try to keep them under 200 sqft so I don’t need to pull permits and I can get them done for you quickly. For larger structures or pole barns contact my dad Scott Bordges at (541) 815-1368. His company is Cascade Mountain Construction and is actually my main source of work!
-
Are there other things you do besides pole structures?
Yes, in the winter time I do a lot of snow removal. I also can also do form work in preparation for concrete. I love to do stairs as well and pretty much anything that you can build with wood!

When you say 2nd generation construction, what do you mean?
My dad has been in construction for over 45 years and over 25 of those years have been in Central Oregon. I started working for him 8 years ago and he has taught me everything I know. I truly feel like I have been taught by one of the best builders in the area and our work speaks for itself.
